And so meeting her teacher outside the Wilder was a sad experience, the shame of her good fortune and secret keeping a burden she had to endure. Despite finding herself with two friends, Lyl is miserable, and not just because of her surroundings. One friend she mistreated in the past, and the other, she has currently misled.
Neither fully can trust her, and can she blame them?
All Lyl has now is a desperation to make it up to both of them, and the floundering that results from her blindness as to how.
